Going north from US 24 (Lake George) the road for the first few miles is good; scenery is interesting. The next 26+ miles is a very bad road...some hard surface, lots of gravel and dirt with a lot of pot holes. Scenery is good. The last 12 miles into Jefferson, starting at Tarryall Lake, is very nice asphault with good curves and straitaways. During the week traffic is light. Weekends is a bit busy on the Jefferson to Tarryall Lake section.
