This is best riden in the summer when the long daylight hours are with us. You start out along the full length of the famous A272 to Wnchester. A short stretch of the M3 takes you to the New Forest and a lunch stop at the Red Shoot Inn which is a brewpub and a meeting place for bikers on a Sunday. Youve then got Cranbourne Chase and scenic Dorset to Shaftsbury where you can see Gold Hill, where the old Hovis adverts were filmed. Some more counrty lanes meet up with the best bit of the A30 back towards Shaftsbury turning off to go to the view point at Win Green where, on a clear day, you can see seven counties. Through Salisbury and East on the A30 to Stockbridge where youll get a good afternoon tea at the tearooms. Through Winchester takes you back onto the A272 back to the start or a farewell to friends with a pint of King&Barnes Sussex at the George & Dragon.
