Hi, love you r site, am hoping to come across on ferry from Ireland to Fishguard on a friday evening early May and return on Monday evening from Holyhead, two bikes, any suggestions for a nice three day spin from south to north Wales ? Leaving from Holyhead on the Monday night. No dirt tracks, some nice scenic motorcycling roads.
Many thanks
Hi there,
There is so much beauty in Wales and lots of great things to see.
Are there any particular things you are in interested in doing/seeing?
have 3 days to cover south to north, arrive in Fishguard depart from Holyhead. Looking for nice mountain/coastal scenic roads, not interested in off road. Also any recommendations for biker friendly accommodation along the way.
Three days of course depends on how much riding you like to do each day but here is a route of about 600 miles that takes in many local favourite roads, several of the national parks, Jurassic coastline and beautiful mountain views.
Summary:
Castles, Coast and Mountains.
Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
The Brecon Beacons
Shropshire Hills Park
Stunning North Welsh Coast
Snowdonia and some great biking roads
Anglesey
For accommodation, one of the BBR Biker Friendly Accommodation Spots is pretty much exactly on that route The Royal Goat Hotel
For the rest of the route, there will likely be a lot of choice as it is a very popular tourist area.
